National Poetry Month Event: Elana Wolff, John Oughton, Mary-Lou Soutar-Hynes, Sheila Stewart and Merle Nudelman

Poetry meets painting in an unusual combined reading and exhibition on Sunday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m at the Women's Art Association at 23 Prince Arthur Ave. in Toronto. Five published poets -- Merle Nudelman, John Oughton, Mary Lou Soutar-Hynes, Sheila Stewart and Elana Wolff -- will reading works written in response, or resonant with, visual arts pieces by the studio members of the Association. The Association, which began in 1916, has promoted women's art for almost a century, and often hosted Emily Carr when she visited Toronto. Free admission.
