Launch for GreenTOpia: Towards a Sustainable Toronto

This Is Not A Reading Series presents an all-afternoon launch party for GreenTOpia: Towards a Sustainable Toronto (Coach House Books). The event features engaging contributor panels, green activities and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring their thoughts and ideas. And be sure to bring an item for the freecycle swap table. Bring something you no longer want, walk home with something you do! $5.00 cover, free with a book purchase.

The first panel of the afternoon is on the natural environment and it starts at 3:00 p.m. The panelists are Eduardo Sousa, Lorraine Johnson, Todd Irvine, Wayne Reeves and Keith Stewart. The second panel is on built environment and it starts at 4:30. The panelists are Eva Ligeti, Graeme Stewart, Cathy Nasmith, John Lorinc and Bert Archer.

After the launch party, head to the Plaza Flamingo (423 College Street at Bathurst), via a Psychogeographic Wander of Toronto led by Shawn Micallef. Join some of the afternoon’s panelists for dinner at 7:00 p.m. and then head to Sneaky Dee’s for musical entertainment. The Wavelength Music Series presents “Remember Toronto,” featuring the Toronto bands of today performing the best Toronto songs of all time. Doors open at 8:30. PWYC.
