Jordan Scott (Blert, Coach House Books) takes part in Toronto's Free Speech Reading Series for its season finale on May 27. Scott is joined by novelist Shyam Selvadurai, comedian Nikki Payne and souljazz chanteuse Elizabeth Shepherd.

Free Speech Reading Series is at Tinto Coffee House, 89 Roncesvalles, Toronto. Tuesday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Jordan Scott’s first book of poetry, Silt, was nominated for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize. Sections of Blert have appeared in filling Station, drunken boat, and nypoesi. In the fall of 2006, Jordan worked on the final sections of Blert while acting as the writer in residence at the International Writers’ and Translators’ Centre in Rhodes, Greece.
