Do you have a way with words? Is it your dream to be a published author? Award-winning author, Richard Scarsbrook will show you how to revise and edit your writing until it’s the best it can be! Story-starting activities will break down writer’s block and stretch your imagination! Short stories! Poetry! Life Writing! Autobiography! Anything you want to write, now is your chance to write it!

Richard Scarsbrook is the author of the hilarious and insightful YA novel Cheeseburger Subversive, its rock ‘n’ roll sequel, Featherless Bipeds, and a collection of prize-winning adult literary short stories called Destiny’s Telescope. His brand-new novel, The Monkeyface Chronicles, is already gathering praise! Richard’s books have been short-listed for the Canadian Library Association’s Book of the Year Award, the Ontario Library Association White Pine Award, the Stellar Book Award, and the ReLit Award. His short stories have also won a number of prizes and awards. Richard has nearly twenty years of high school and college teaching experience and currently teaches creative writing courses at George Brown and Humber Colleges.

COURSE INFORMATION:

Sessions run Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm; early drop-off at 8 a.m. Each session is limited to only 15 students (aged 14 - 17 years old), so book early! To book call, 647-427-4737

Session 1: Two weeks, July 5, 2010 – July 16, 2010
Session 2: Two weeks, July 19, 2010 – July 30, 2010

Cost: $250 plus GST per session. A cancellation fee of $75 will be applied to cancellations before May 1, 2010. Session fees are non-refundable after May 1, 2010.
