Come to an evening of readings by three local authors.
Stephen Cain is the author of I Can Say Interpellation (Bookthug) and three earlier poetry collections — American Standard/ Canada Dry (Coach House), Torontology (ECW) and Dyslexicon (Coach House). He has also composed a collaborative series of micro-fictions, Double Helix (Mercury), with Jay MillAr, and co-authored, with Tim Conley, The Encyclopedia of Fictional and Fantastic Languages (Greenwood). The former literary editor of the Queen Street Quarterly, and fiction editor at Insomniac Press, he lives in Toronto where he teaches avant-garde and Canadian literature at York University.
Mat Laporte is co-founder and co-editor of Ferno House, a micro-press publisher of poetry. He is the author of two chapbooks entitled Demons and Chance Poetics. Mat is an undergraduate at York University in the department of English.
Jimmy McInnes was born and raised on the Bruce Peninsula. His poetry has appeared most recently in This Magazine as a finalist for the annual Great Canadian Literary Hunt, as well as the online journal ditch. He lives in Toronto, where he is completing his MFA and working in the backrooms of provincial politics, which are no longer smoky due to various bylaws.
