Come to a tea and presentation by Kathy Knowles, founder of Osu Children's Library Fund (OCLF), a not-for-profit organization in Ghana that connects African children to the joy of reading. On Wednesday, April 9, one of Toronto’s most consistently interesting literary presses unloads its latest chamber of armor-piercing books upon the reading public and this season, most of them have been manufactured right here in Toronto. The Coach House Spring Launch features new novels from acclaimed Toronto author Maggie Helwig (recently spotlighted in Toronto Life) and celebrated Toronto-based playwright Claudia Dey, and both books feature Ontario’s capital city as their settings, even as a character in itself (though a quite different character in each novel).
